I recently had the pleasure of working with a new client with a home that has an incredible position on a dam.

From the moment I met the client the brief was clear, the inside of the home needs to match the outside, and that meant one thing: Resort.

Bright, fresh, airy and tropical came to mind, and with a view like this, it was perfectly fitting with the style of the home.

The first area that we paid attention to was the lounge.  With heavy built in cupboards and dark walls, the plan was simple: Brighten up the walls and furniture, clear away the cabinetry and and re-anchor the room with the right size rug.  All of this also had to be child friendly!

Using technical materials that are water and oil repellant, as well as scotch guarding non-technical fabrics, we managed to build a space that is both light as well as child friendly! (No – these two things are not mutually exclusive)

Moving onto the patio in the new year – going to be spectacular!
