I popped in to Mavromac this morning, to go have a look at the new Ardmore Zambezi range of fabrics that has just been launched.  I lie, I was just there for the free cake, but wow was I blown away by the materials!

For those living in Johannesburg, you will recognise the prints from the ceramics that Ardmore is more well known for that is always so beautifully displayed at Hyde Park shopping centre.  Made in the Midlands, a proudly South African product.  I show some examples below:

“Parra, parra, paradise” as the Coldplay song goes, and with tropical paradise being a strong design trend that I wrote about from Maison & Objet, I am in love.

Available in velvets, rough cottons and linen blends, it can be used for both curtaining and upholstery.

I am particularly obsessed with the vibrancy of the orange velvet!  Also co-incidently a design that has been snapped up by Hermes for a scarf!
