Hobby Room!

Charity begins at home, and as I have mentioned before my mother is an avid quilter, embroiderer, sewer, crocheter, knitter – I do not think there is a craft that has passed by that she has not taken up or embraced – well maybe scrapbooking (thankfully in my opinion!)

I can hand on my heart say that my mother probably spends more time in her hobby room than anywhere else in their house. Even the comfy chair sorts out the afternoon nap situation – or as my mother refers to it: ‘Resting her eyes’.

So I was happy to assist to brighten up her dreary space.

With a fresh coat of paint (which my mother was not too sure of at first!), and a new blind and re-organisation, I was able to create a very warm and creative environment.

Those who know my mother (and any self-respecting sewer) will also know that the after photo’s were completely staged for the camera, and lasted about 5min before destruction happened, wool started flying and the next project commenced!
